Chitradurga: Expressing satisfaction over the number of educated youth joining the police force, Additional Director-General of Police (Recruitment and Training) S.T. Ramesh has called upon more such youngsters to join the department.

Speaking at the passing-out parade of the seventh batch of constables at Aimangala Police Training School here on Monday, he said that of the 104 trainees in the batch, 18 possessed graduate and postgraduate degrees.

“We are witnessing an encouraging trend in which youngsters who have completed MA, M.Ed., M.Com and engineering are joining the police force. The department needs people from every discipline,” he said.
