Students in a different role

Little angels: Students of St.Martin’s High School perform a cultural show on the school’s annual day.


HYDERABAD: Lilly Model High Schools at North Lalaguda, Secunderabad, and Jyothinagar, Malkajgiri, organised ‘Revive’, a home-made food festival in their respective campuses.

A variety of traditional food items were prepared by the students and relished by everybody. Pre-primary students dressed in traditional Indian costumes attracted all the eyes. Chief guest and senior instructor of Indian Airlines cabin crew Krishnaji appreciated the idea.

St. Martin’s High School

St. Martin’s High School, Malkajgiri, celebrated its annual day on February 20. Sachidananda Mohanty, Head of English Department, University of Hyderabad, was the chief guest.

Sai Kirti of Class X was chosen the best outgoing student. Alekhya of Class VI, who was the runner-up in All-India Junior Tennis Championship, and M. Vasanthi, topper of 2007-08, were duly awarded. Cultural programmes were the highlight of the day.

Hanuman Vyayam Shala Public School

Hanuman Vyayam Shala Alumni Welfare Association conducted an in-house camp of ‘Art of Living’ for all the students of HVS High School and Public School from February 24 to 26. Teachers of the school were simultaneously introduced to the techniques of stress management, personality development and duty consciousness for three days.

Sister Nivedita School

Sister Nivedita School hosted a farewell party for the Class X students on February 18 on the school premises. Outgoing students lit candles before Sister Nivedita picture while the school’s director M. Harihara Prasad wished them all the best.
