Cultural association to felicitate eminent women

REPALLE (GUNTUR Dt.): Medical and Cultural Association will felicitate prominent women from the Guntur region on International Women’s Day at Sri Guttikonda Lakshmi Narayana Community Centre here on Sunday.
In a press release here on Tuesday, the MCA secretary Prakasa Rao said that on the occasion of the Women’s Day some events would be organised in association with local women’s groups. Women’s Organisations, SHG / DWCRA groups, ALEAP-trained women and entrepreneurs would participate in display and sale of products by women (Home made / Small business units) between 10 am and 5 pm.
A panel discussion on Women’s Issues, problems would be organised to find solutions for them between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and at 7 p.m. some prominent women from the area would be felicitated for their contribution to the society. During February the MCA’s building annex was inaugurated by Repalle MLA D. Mallikarjuna Rao.
The building was constructed with the MPLADS funds of Tenali MP V. Balashourie, Dr. Prakasa Rao said.
A legal awareness programme was organised for women with former member of National Commission for Women Nirmala Venkatesh participating in it.
