Lavalin case: Congress to continue stir

Staff Reporter

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala on Tuesday said his party would continue to stage mass agitations to ensure that those involved in the SNC Lavalin case were prosecuted.

Inaugurating the reception for his “Kerala Raksha March” at Attingal, Mr. Chennithala said the Congress would not allow the Lavalin case to be erased from collective public memory.

Mr. Chennithala said the government had attempted to pull off a last minute political stunt by announcing rice for Rs.2 a kg on the eve of the declaration of the Lok Sabha elections. He said the Chief Minister had admitted that the State was being controlled by a mafia of corrupt officials, greedy politicians and dubious businessmen.
