Kids come up with a ‘Kadhai carnival’

Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Kids Central, a nursery and primary school in Kotturpuram, is all set for its tenth year celebration. To make it a unique and memorable event, head of the school Valli Subbiah roped in renowned theatre person Feisal Alkazi from Delhi.

The veteran spent nearly 40 days in the city, going through rounds of theatrical exercises with the children and alumni. The play combines song, dance and other spontaneous inputs from children, a press release said.

The script is drawn from the wisdom of the Panchatantra. Three plays have been rolled into one and grouped as ‘Kadhai carnival.’ Passes are available at Odyssey (St. Mary’s Road and Adyar outlets), Landmark (Citi Centre and Nungambakkam outlets) and Fashion Folks, Adyar.

The play will be staged at the Bharata Kalakshetra auditorium in Thiruvanmiyur on March 6 and 7, at 6.30 p.m.
