Collector convenes meeting of officials

KOCHI: District Collector M. Beena, who is also the district returning officer for the forthcoming Parliamentary elections, on Tuesday convened a meeting of BSNL, police and telecommunication officials to discuss ways to ensure a trouble-free communication during the election. Dr. Beena directed the BSNL officials to identify and submit report on areas where the communication signals were weak. Police had handed over to the BSNL a report on areas where their signals were available as also areas not covered by their signals. Steps would be taken to ensure that BSNL signals were available in areas not covered by police’s communication signals. The Collector urged all government and public sector organisations and political parties to confirm with the model code of conduct .
