Police Commissioner N. Sambasiva Rao, who is inquiring into the complaint, could not be reached on the phone. DIG clarifiesMeanwhile, Ms. Soumya Mishra has clarified that no case has been registered against her in the past under the Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act. Reacting to a report that appeared in these columns on Tuesday, she said that the girl who was working at her house at that time was 20 years old and hence there was no question of any case. Ms. Mishra said that the constable who had attempted suicide during her stint as SP of Vizianagaram had resorted to it to gain sympathy of his colleagues and officials.
