One held for murder

CHENNAI: One person was arrested in connection with the murder of a security guard in Anna Nagar here on Tuesday.
Police said G. Suresh (35) of Anna Nagar was found dead with a head injury in an old building where he was working as a watchman. A special team formed to investigate the case arrested T. Vanchinathan (34), a friend of Suresh, on charges of murder.
The duo entered into a heated argument after consuming liquor in the building late on Monday night. In the scuffle that followed, Vanchinathan hit Suresh with a huge stone resulting in his instant death. The accused was produced in a city court and remanded to judicial custody.
