CPI panel to hold talks on seats with AIADMK today

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: The three-member seat-sharing committee, constituted by the Communist Party of India (CPI), is likely to hold talks with the AIADMK on Wednesday, State secretary D. Pandian said on Tuesday.

“Besides me, senior leader R. Nallakannu and deputy secretary G. Palanisamy are on the committee,” Mr. Pandian told reporters at a function for laying the foundation for the new party office at T. Nagar.

He said the party would occupy the two top floors, and the rest would be rented out. “We will give priority to hospitals and social organisations.”

The total cost has been pegged at Rs.11 crore, and the work will be completed in 16 months.

AIADMK treasurer O. Panneerselvam took part in the function.
