Four killed in road accident

BANGALORE: Four persons travelling in a car were killed when their vehicles collided with a lorry on Chintamani Road near Hoskote on Wednesday.
According to the police, the victims, all residents of Kaggadasapura in Bangalore city, were on their way to Hoskote. The police identified the victims as Mallikarjuna, Shivakumara, Dinesh and Ravi Gowda.
The car collided with the lorry and all the four were killed on the spot, the police said.
The police said Shivakumar was an employee of ICICI Bank and lived in Vijayanagar.
Dinesh was the son of a head constable in the Tilak Nagar police station while Ravi Gowda was a resident of Kengeri.
Arrested
The Subramanyapura police have arrested two persons allegedly involved in the murder of Anti Terrorist Cell’s constable Umesh. He was bludgeoned in a playground in Chunchagatta Main Road on February 17.
The police gave the names of the accused as Anand alias Bheema (23) and Raja alias Nagaraja alias Kuyya (30). The police said the accused, who were involved in several cases of dacoity, wanted to seek revenge against Umesh.
