Polling stations inspected

VILLUPURAM: Collector R. Palanisamy inspected polling stations located on Kalvarayan Hills near here on Thursday.

At Melvazhapadi residential school, he instructed officials to shift the polling station from the old building to a new structure. At Gariyalur polling station, he said that a ramp should be constructed. At Vellimalai, he said that basic amenities should be provided, a statement from the Collectorate said.

Mr. Palanisamy also directed polling officials to complete inspection of all the polling stations in the district and file reports on their status and requirements.
