ERODE: Two youth drowned in Cauvery on Thursday. The police said S. Anbarasan, 26, and his relative Raja, 23, drowned while having a bath in the river. Anbarasan from Vengamedu, near Karur, and Raja from Chittode, near here, had gone to a relative’s house on Valayakara Street to offer condolences at the death of a relative and thereafter to the river. The incident came to light when relatives went looking for the two found their bodies. They then lodged a complaint with the police.
