ITT bags $22 m pump contract

VISAKHAPATNAM: ITT Corporation has got a $22-million contract for supply of high-end water pumps for Pranahita Chevella lift irrigation project. The lift irrigation project involving two pumping systems, for which contract was given, will irrigate 2,50,000 acres. The the company will also undertake sump and pump modelling and supervision of installation with delivery scheduled for 2010. “The order demonstrates the need for ITT’s irrigation products and technology in the country,” its MD Sam Yamdagni, said.
