Painting contest held

Staff Reporter

TIRUPATI: The ‘colourful expressions’ got a tangible shape and form when the canvas had a ‘brush’ with the children armed as they were with their (painting) brushes.

Airtel conducted a painting competition under the theme ‘Freedom of expression’ for students of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sri Venkateswara Vidyalaya here on Friday. “Flowers fade away in days; art will last many a lifetime ”, so goes the saying. Though oblivious to the saying, most of the 900 plus students of Class I to VIII gave a free run to their expression, and anything that touched their hearts, on the canvas.

The students were given participation certificates and chocolates at the end of the event by Singampally Satyanarayana, a senior artist, while Bhavan’s director N. Satyanarayana Raju, principal C. Srinivasan and Airtel’s zonal business head Prashanth Sagu were present.
