‘Sri Rama Ratham’ arriving today

VIZIANAGARAM: Sri Rama Punarvasu Deeksha Paduka Ratham is arriving at Sri Pydithalli Ammavari temple on Sunday evening, according to Assistant Commissioner (Endowments) Ch. Hanumantha Rao.

The ratham would reach Ramatheertham temple at 12 noon and remain there till 5 p.m. before reaching here, he said. It started in Bhadrachalam, the abode of Sri Rama on Friday afternoon. The official said that in line with Ayyappa Swamy and Durga Bhavani deeksha, Sri Ramachandra deeksha would also begin on Sri Rama Navami festival every year and end after 45 days at Bhadrachalam. Devotees can wear ‘deeksha mala’ at any of Sri Rama and Sri Anjaneya Swamy temples on that day, he said.
