Certification

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The ESIC’s sub-regional office at Kollam, which is in charge of matters under the ESI scheme with respect to the four southern districts of Alappuzha, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Thiruvananthapuram and Vaikom taluk of Kottayam district has received the ISO certification. Started as a divisional office, it was upgraded to a sub-regional office in 2007. Now this office has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certificate by the certifying agency in Germany. This certificate is in recognition of the office having established the Quality Management System for providing social security benefits envisaged in the ESI Act, 1948, to the beneficiaries of the ESI scheme. —Special Correspondent
