Karunanidhi seeks reason for delay

CHENNAI: Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam president M. Karunanidhi on Saturday wondered why All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Jayalalithaa did not deny, for nearly two weeks, that she invited the Congress to join the AIADMK-led front.

Responding to Ms. Jayalalithaa’s clarification on Thursday, Mr. Karunanidhi wanted to know whether the AIADMK leader issued the denial only after realising that the Congress would not join her front. — Special Correspondent
