Kozhikode: A contingent of 28 students and two faculty members from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore, reached the National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C) campus here on Sunday evening as part of the ‘India Insight’ programme. They were given a warm welcome by NIT-C students; K. P. Mohandas, International Liaison Officer of the NIT-C; and Paul K. Joesph, professor; at the Calicut airport. ‘India Insight’ is part of their course at the institute. The six-week course comprises talks, seminars, projects, interaction programmes and trips, which will help them understand Indian history, culture and economy first-hand. The programme, first if its kind on the campus, is expected to benefit students from both the sides, Dr. Mohandas said.
