COLOMBO: Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Rohitha Bogollagama on Monday disclosed that an interim report on the investigations into the terror attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore was due “very shortly”. Addressing a news conference here Mr. Bogollagama said “the investigations into the terror attack are proceeding well” but he was not in a position to share any details with the media. The Minister said the government continued to believe that an LTTE connection could not be ruled out. On U.S. envoy Richard Boucher’s statement that Washington was discussing with Colombo possible ways for evacuating civilians, Mr. Bogollagama said there were no concrete plans for evacuation by other countries. The Minister also thanked government of India for sending a makeshift hospitalto help the sick and wounded in the war zone.
