CPI(ML) to contest 80 seats

NEW DELHI: The Communist Party of India(Marxist-Leninist) will contest 80 Lok Sabha seats across the country, mostly on its own. However, it will have a seat-sharing arrangement with the CPI and the CPI(M) in Bihar.

CPI(ML) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya said here on Monday that his party would support a few Left candidates in Jharkhand, U.P. and Andhra Pradesh.

The CPI(ML), the CPI and the CPI(M) decided to contest 33 of the 40 seats in Bihar.The CPI(ML) would field candidates in 15 other States and three Union Territories.
