Heavy rain likely in Puducherry

PUDUCHERRY: Several parts of Puducherry experienced light showers from Tuesday morning. The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has forecast heavy rain in Puducherry during the next 48 hours.

According to RMC, rain or thundershower was likely to occur at many places over coastal Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Isolated heavy rain was likely over Puducherry during the next 48 hours.

Officials of the RMC said, “Yesterday’s low pressure area over the south west bay and adjoining Sri Lanka now lies as trough of low pressure over the south west bay of Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu coast.”
