Thousands throng car festival

Amidst religious fervour: Thousands of devotees pulling the car at Chandrasudeswarar Temple in Hosur on Tuesday. —

HOSUR: Thousands of devotees thronged the car festival of the Chandrasudeswarar-Maraga

thambal Swami in Hosur on Tuesday. The Revenue Divisional Officer, P. Rathinavelu, along with the devotees pulled the car carrying the deities of Chandrasu

deswarar-Maragathambal.

Hosur MLA K. Gopinath, Krishnagiri MLA T. Senguttuvan, Hosur former MLA K.A. Monoharan and other leaders and officials from the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments participated in the festival and pulled the car.

The car started its journey from the temple at the foot hills of the Chandrasudeswarar Temple after a puja and reached Therpettai. Thousands of devotees surrounding Hosur and nearby Karnataka offered puajs. The district administration and police made elaborate security arrangements for the festival.
