Patiala: Former Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh turned 67 on Wednesday. A large number of Congress workers turned up at the New Moti Bagh palace, his residence, to greet him on the occasion but were somewhat disappointed as he was out of station. However, in the absence of the senior Congress leader his wife and MP Preneet Kaur accepted their greetings on his behalf even though she was not well. Mr. Singh is in Delhi apparently seeking a party ticket for his son Raninder Singh from Bathinda Lok Sabha constituency, sources said.
