Bhullar leads

PANCHKULA: Gaganjeet Bhullar carded a seven-under 65 to take the sole lead after the first round of the PGTI Players’ Championship at the Panchkula Golf Club here on Thursday.

One stroke behind Bhullar, R. Murthy is in second spot with a score of six-under 66.

Among the top golfers in fray, Ashok Kumar is tied-eighth with a score of two-under while current PGTI Order of Merit leader Mukesh Kumar, with an even par score, shares the 17th slot with seven others.

After a disappointing round of one-over, Gaurav Ghei is tied 25th.

The scores: Gaganjeet Bhullar (65); R. Murthy (66); Vinod Kumar (67); A.S. Lehal (68); Mohd. Siddikur Rahman, Jaiveer S. Virk and Sujjan Singh (69); Ashok Kumar, Gaurav Pratap Singh, Amritinder Singh and Dinesh Kumar (70); Joseph J. Chakola, Vishal Singh, Harendra P.
