ONGOLE: Actor N. Balakrishna’s visit to Prakasam district on Thursday was marred by group clashes between Karanam Balaram Krishna Murthy and his arch rival Garataiah. As Mr. Balakrishna began his five-day tour in the district at CS Puram, TDP district president and Addanki MLA Mr. Balaram Krishna Murthy went to greet him. Even as he was giving him a bouquet, Mr. Garataiah with his followers came in a convoy of 20 cars. Their followers clashed, damaging two vehicles and causing injuries to one person. Mr. Garataiah is aspiring to contest from Addanki replacing Mr. Murthy leading to the clashes. .
