Meet on stroke

HYDERABAD: The two-day fourth National Congress of Indian Stroke Association will commence on Saturday in the city.

The meeting being organised by Subash Kaul, head of department of neurology, Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences, is endorsed by the World Stroke Organisation as a major stroke educational event of this region.

The National Congress is a forum to learn, share and bring together the leaders, practitioners and students in the field of stroke and neurology. Renowned stroke experts will deliver lectures on latest stroke knowledge.

Prof. Subash Kaul said an estimated 5.7 million people died of stroke in 2005.
