Businessman robbed

NEW DELHI: A businessman was allegedly robbed of over Rs.15 lakh in cash and jewellery by eight armed men who barged into his house at Yamuna Vihar in the trans-Yamuna area on Wednesday.

According to Dilshad Ali, it happened around 8:45 p.m. when some armed men they entered the house and took away cash and jewellery worth lakhs at gunpoint. The robbers fled after locking up the family in a room.

Though the police have registered a complaint, they said Dilshad had changed his statement several times, creating suspicion about the authenticity of his version.
