Lee expects Ashes call-up

Melbourne: Declaring himself the fittest and strongest he has ever felt, Australian pacer Brett Lee says he would have no trouble getting back into the side as its bowling spearhead in the Ashes series against England in July.

“I’m probably the fittest and strongest I’ve ever felt. I got back from India and was close to 82kg, now I’m up to 93kg,” Lee told The Daily Telegraph.

Asked whether he felt his place in the side was under threat from newcomers, Lee said, “Not from my point of view.” — PTI
