Computer training begins

KRISHNAGIRI: A five-day training programme on Computers and Library Automation to librarians began on Friday at the District Central Library.
The training is organised by the Department of Public Libraries and Rajaram Mohanrai Library Foundation, Kolkatta.
In Krishnagiri district, there are 25 branch libraries, 60 village libraries and 28 part-time libraries. Computers have been installed at the branch and village libraries.
Librarians would be taught MS Office, MS word, MS excel and library software related to automation of libraries.
P. Krishnan, former District Treasury Officer, spoke about library automation. J.Karthikeyan, District Librarian and M. Ramachandran, Stock Verification Officer, participated.
