Healthy tip: Volunteers of TANKER Foundation and students distributing pamphlets in Madurai.

MADURAI: World Kidney Day was observed by spreading the message to keep blood pressure at check as a precondition for a healthy kidney.

Pamphlets carrying useful information on the reasons, symptoms and prevention of kidney diseases were distributed to the public in the city on Thursday. The theme for the `World Kidney Day’ this year was “keep the pressure down,” as it is cited widely that high blood pressure is a prime reason behind Chronic Kidney disease (CKD), which is found among billions worldwide.

The pamphlets and paper half visors were distributed by Tamil Nadu Kidney Research (TANKER) Foundation.
