KCR urged to contest Medak LS seat

HYDERABAD: The Medak district committee of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) at a meeting in Sangareddy on Friday resolved that party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao alone should contest the Medak Lok Sabha election.

M. Raghunandan Rao, president of the committee, in a statement issued in Patancheru, said the decision was taken unanimously after securing the opinion of the party activists. Later, the committee sent a communication to Mr. Rao to take note of the activists’ sentiments.

Among those who signed the communication was S. Ramalinga Reddy, MLA. Several State and district unit leaders also supported the decision.

It comes in the wake of a dilemma among the party leadership whether to field Mr. Rao or general secretary Vijayashanti.
