Udhagamandalam: One person has been arrested in connection with an alleged murder near Gudaur. According to the police, the annual festival of the Muneeswaran temple at Cherangode had been celebrated recently by the drivers in the area. On Tuesday night, when accounts were being settled at the office of the drivers association at Kolappali there had been a heated exchange of words between two drivers Boopalan and Ramachandran. It had led to Ramachandran stabbing Boopalan with a screw driver. Boopalan was taken to a hospital in Sultan’s Battery where he died. Ramachandran was arrested at Kurinji Nagar in Kolappali on Wednesday.
