DRDO award for two NPOL personnel

Kochi: Two Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL) personnel have won prestigious awards instituted by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

While scientist K.E. Nissar has been selected for the DRDO Young Scientist Award for 2008 for his outstanding research in signal processing algorithms, technical officer S. Prasad has been conferred with the Best Performance Award, the highest recognition for a technical person in the DRDO.

Mr. Nissar is son of Ibrahim Kutty of Kadavil House in Nettur. Mr. Prasad is son of late Subrahmanian Nair of Kozhippallil House at Kakkoor in Ernakulam.
