BJP blames Congress for violence

Staff Correspondent

MANGALORE: The minority cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday described the violent incidents in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts after the Hindu Samajotsava as a “conspiracy of the Congress”. Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, convener of the cell Franklin Montero said that the Congress was “worried by the grand success of the samjotsava here on Sunday” and it felt “politically threatened” in the district. Hence, it had conspired with the Karnataka Forum for Dignity to trigger violence in the Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, he charged.

Appeal

Urging the people from the minority communities to join hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party to build a “strong nation”, Mr. Montero said that a training programme would be organised for leaders of the cell on March 24 in Bangalore and prepare them for the coming elections.
