Congress fields Jogi’s wife in Bilaspur

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Putting an end to talk over the sidelining of the Jogi family in Chhattisgarh, the Congress on Thursday made a change in its list of candidates for the State by bringing in the former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi’s wife, Renu, in place of Ashish Kumar Singh in Bilaspur.

It has also decided to field Bhupesh Baghel from Raipur.

In West Bengal the Congress has decided to field Abdul Mannan Hossain from Murshidabad again despite reservations expressed by some quarters in the State unit.

Now, two seats remain to be decided — Darjeeling and Maldaha Uttar.
