Staff Reporter

CHENNAI: Indian Bank installed a coin vending machine at Kamakshi Amman Temple in Kancheepuram on Friday to enable devotees to exchange higher denomination currency notes for coins.

Inaugurating the facility, Indian Bank’s chairman and managing director M. S. Sundararajan said it was for the first time that such a machine was being installed in a temple across the State. The facility would be extended to Kapaleeswarar temple in Mylapore and Tiruttani Murugan Temple shortly.
