Uddhav remarks: officials to examine recording

Mumbai: Taking cognisance of the alleged objectionable remarks made against Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at a Sena-BJP rally here on Friday, Mumbai District Collector I. Z. Kundan on Saturday said officials were examining the video recording of the proceedings.

“If we find something objectionable, we will take action,” Ms. Kundan said.

“As a matter of routine procedure, we record all rallies and check if there is a violation of the model code of conduct. In this matter also, we are checking if there is a violation,” the District Collector added. — PTI
