Website, SMS to provide polling station details

HYDERABAD: A separate website ( www.pollingbooths.in) has been launched by the election authorities along with an Short Messaging Service (SMS) service to provide to voters, the address and details of their specified polling stations covered by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area.

CEO inaugurates

Chief Electoral Officer I. V. Subba Rao formally inaugurated both the services in his office at the Secretariat on Monday. The voters need to provide the voter identity number in the relevant option while seeking details from the website.

SMS number

They can get the same details by cell through the SMS service (56677 CEO—(space) voter identity umber.

To provide the same benefit to the voters elsewhere in the State, the official website of the Chief Electoral Officer ( www.ceoandhra.nic.in) will be linked to a new software in two or three days, the CHief Electoral Officer said.
