CHENNAI: Everyone has to recall their association with the nature, said C.K.Sreedharan, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and head of Forest Force, Tamil Nadu, here recently. Participating in a tree planting programme to mark the World Forestry Day celebrations on the Kalakshetra campus, Thiruvanmiyur, he said that one should understand the damages being caused to nature knowingly or unknowingly. He also told the students of Kalakshetra that when the mean temperature was on the rise and its consequent effect was acute on global climate, people should plant more saplings to reduce the impact of temperature. About 50 saplings of different species were planted on the campus. G. Balan Samson, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, K.P.M.Perrumahl, Additional Pricipal Chief Conservator of Forests, Bagwan Singh, Additional Principal Chief Conservator Forests and V.Prabhakaran, Conservator of Forests, Chennai Circle, were among those who participated.
