MES College of Engineering

MES College of Engineering, the first self-financing Engineering College in Kerala is one of the most preferred destinations for students seeking quality professional education in the state. Affiliated to the University of Calicut, the college was established in 1994 by the Muslim Educational Society, which was an initiative by a group of enthusiasts. Established in 1964 by Late Dr. Abdul Gafoor, the society today has more than 150 educational institutions spread all over Kerala, Tamil Nadu and West Asian Countries.

The college has been awarded ISO 9001-2000 for excellence in quality systems and 5 disciplines of engineering are accredited by NBA of AICTE and also accredited by TCS. It is one of the rare institutions where the faculty student ratio is more than the required AICTE norms. The students are nurtured and trained by about 400 dedicated and qualified faculty and staff members under the leadership of a team of experienced academician and administrators consisting of - Dr. V H Abdul Salam Principal and the Prime Mentor of the institute and the supporting members consisting of Mr. T P Imbichammed Chairman of MES, Prof. POJ Lebba Secretary MES and Dr. K.P Mohammed, Director MESCE.

Since 2002, their MBA programme prepares business professionals with various academic backgrounds for careers in the corporate world. Students are equipped with the knowledge required to operate successfully in major corporates.

The programme helps participants to develop the competencies, confidence and networks vital for future business leadership roles, and for reaching new levels for personal achievement.

They follow powerful interactive learning methods that unravel complex and dynamic realities of business analysis and decision making.

Their teaching methods include group discussions, student research, classroom presentations, case study analysis, seminars and exposure to the wisdom of the leaders in the industry.

The Department is headed by Prof. Saji Kuriakose, a well-known academician having several years of industry experience with leading corporate houses of India. His direction keeps the department to mould the students in accordance with industry expectation.
