Activists stage dharna

Raichur: Members of the Raichur district unit of the Trade Union Centre of India took out a procession and staged a dharna here on Tuesday demanding that the district administration take steps to provide basic facilities in the Janata locality in the city and issue ownership certificates to the poor residing in the area. Activists and residents of the area went in a procession from the locality to the Deputy Commissioner’s office where they staged the dharna.

Later, they submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Adoni Syed Saleem seeking a solution to the problems.
