CUTTACK: Two unidentified persons decamped with a cash bag containing about Rs 27,000 from a businessman in front of the ICICI bank located in Bajrakabati Road area under Mangalabag police station on Tuesday. According to police, Kunja Bihary Tripathy, a businessman from Angul had come to the bank to deposit a cheque towards an instalment of a loan he had taken. After getting down from his car, Mr. Tripathy went straight to the bank leaving behind the cash bag inside the car asking his driver to take care of it. “The robbers soon after throwing few smaller denomination currency notes on the road asked the driver to collect them saying the notes had fallen from the pocket of his owner. Unable to resist the temptation seeing the cash lie on the ground, the driver got down the vehicle to pick them up while the miscreants decamped with the cash bag from the car”, said the police. Following a complaint filed by Mr. Tripathy, police registered a case and started investigating the case.
