BJP slams comments against nation’s unity

CHENNAI: The mobilisation of support in the State for Sri Lankan Tamils will suffer a setback if comments are made against the unity and integrity of the country, L. Ganesan, State president of the Bharatiya Janata Party, said on Tuesday.

In a statement, he said nationalists would not support such observations. Though the people of the State were concerned about the interests of the Tamils, they were cautious that this should not, in any way, affect the country. — Special Correspondent
