‘Advertisements to be in Kannada’

BANGALORE: Kannada Development Authority Chairman ‘Mukhyamantri’ Chandru on Monday instructed the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike officials and advertisement firms to use Kannada on the hoardings at bus-stands in the city. Speaking to presspersons, Mr. Chandru warned that the KDA would destroy all hoardings with advertisements only in English. BBMP had been directed to introduce a uniform policy on advertisement at bus-stands. — Special Correspondent
