RSS warns Naveen

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has castigated the Naveen Patnaik government for its failure to control or stop what it has described as “anti-Hindu violence” in the Kandhamal region of Orissa.

Late last year the region hit the headlines for anti-Christian violence following the murder of VHP leader Lakshmanananda Saraswati.

In a statement here on Tuesday, the newly appointed Sarkaryawah or general secretary of the RSS, Suresh Joshi, said: “Failure of the State government in not only nabbing the murderers of Lakshamananandaji but also in saving the lives of Hindu tribals, who are on the hit-list of terrorists is highly reprehensible.”

Resentment growing

It “warned” the State government of the “growing resentment in Hindu society.”
