Woman succumbs to burns

CHENNAI: A woman died of burns while her husband suffered 30 per cent burns in a fire accident at Neelangarai on Tuesday night.

Police said V. Manjula (35) of Anna Street was cooking when her dress suddenly caught fire. Her husband Viswanathan (41) rushed to her rescue after moving their two children to safety. Manjula died on the way to the hospital.

The Neelangarai police have registered a case.
