Amritha Alladi

Chennai: Employment possibilities are endless for Vel Tech students now that Vel Tech Institutes have adopted a Business English Certification (BEC) programme, administrative officials said.

Founder and Chancellor of Vel Tech Dr. R.R & Dr. S.R. Technical University R. Rangarajan signed a memorandum of understanding with British Council Director Chris Gibson Wednesday, offering the BEC programme to students. Although the university curriculum already includes courses to match the BEC syllabus, Vice-Chancellor Mahalakshmi Rangarajan said the partnership with the British Council allows students to receive internationally recognised English communication certification.
