Relief materials for Sri Lankan Tamils

CHENNAI: The State government will send relief materials such as first quality boiled rice, toor dhal, sugar, tea, rice cooking vessels, cooking utensils, tumblers, ladles, bed sheets and towels to Sri Lankan Tamils.

An official release stated that the decision was taken at a meeting held at the Secretariat on Thursday. Chief Secretary K.S. Sripathi ordered that the relief materials be sent to Sri Lanka before April 15, it added.
