NEW DELHI: J&K Bank defeated Border Security Force 1-0 to record its third consecutive win and book a berth in the semifinals of the fifth Lt. Governor’s invitational DDA football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Friday. After getting a through pass from Mohammad Hatchibuddin, Nigerian striker Badru Ibrahim scored the all-important goal of the match in the 18th minute. J&K Bank, yet to concede a goal in the tournament so far, has nine points from three matches while BSF has two after completing its quota of four league engagements. Bhawanipore Club (Kolkata) played out a goalless draw with Delhi-based Simla Youngs. The Delhi side is out of the tournament with only three points from four outings. The Kolkata outfit has two points from three ties and will meet Indian Air Force in its last match.
