Church attacks: cash reward for policemen

Bangalore: The Director-General and Inspector-General of Police Ajai Kumar Singh has announced cash award of Rs. 7.08 lakh for all police personnel involved in the investigation of serial blasts at churches in Hubli, Bangalore and Gulbarga during June and July 2000. This cash award comes in appreciation of the work done by the police that led to the conviction of 23 Deendar Anjuman activists. Among the police officers involved in the investigation include Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) M.R. Pujar and Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mysore, V.S. D’Souza.
